#AnACE2017 – I Heart CY

As the chaos of Christmas begins to subside and 2018 rapidly approaches, we thought we would take some time to look back over some highlights of our Courtyard year! Today we look back on our latest fundraising campaign I Heart CY… 

We are a registered charity and are very fortunate to receive support from many different areas to help us continue our community and outreach projects. 2017 has been the first full year that we have operated without an annual grant of £130,000 from Herefordshire Council. Despite this loss of crucial funding, in April 2017 we managed to end the financial year with a small surplus due to great support from ticket and Café Bar sales, memberships, business support and the I Heart CY individual giving campaign which raised over £20,000 last year.

In May, the I Heart CY Campaign won the Best Individual Giving Campaign award in the 2017 Emcees Awards. The awards, established by =mc and the National Arts Fundraising School, recognise excellence in arts and culture fundraising and the winners were announced at a special event held at LAMDA’s Sainsbury Theatre in London.

So many people have got involved with I Heart CY this year and we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported the campaign. Whether you have made a donation when purchasing tickets, bought a 50/50 lotto ticket or popped some pennies into the buckets after pantomime it has all made a difference!
