Culture Recovery Fund for The Courtyard!

🎭⭐️We are #HereForCulture. We are here to stay!⭐️🎭

We are over the moon to announce that we have been awarded the full amount requested from the Government’s Culture Recovery Fund. The Courtyard Hereford is one of 1,385 cultural and creative organisations across the country receiving urgently needed support.

We are unbelievably grateful to DCMS, HM Treasury and Arts Council England for having faith in what we do and supporting us through this time of crisis. Although we are by no means out of the woods yet, with a long journey of recovery ahead of us, we can now be more optimistic about the future. We now have time to plan, reconnect and get excited! This additional funding will help protect The Courtyard’s future until at least spring 2021.

Ian Archer, Chief Executive and Artistic Director at The Courtyard Hereford said:
“The Courtyard is absolutely thrilled to have been awarded £535,000 from the Culture Recovery Fund. The Courtyard, prior to the outbreak, was established as a thriving arts centre that is deeply rooted in the community. Serving as the hub of cultural life within the county and the region, providing a quality programme of work where people can experience and/or participate both within the building, through our youth theatres, learning, adult participation and outreach activities. This funding lifeline will help to secure the future of The Courtyard for the people of Herefordshire and beyond”
