FORGE: Young Artist Development Masterclasses

We’re thrilled to announce that we are  launching a brand new series of masterclasses, designed to help young people FORGE a career in the arts.

As part of our commitment to artist development, the FORGE project will include a series of masterclasses, enabling participants to learn about the arts industry and develop their skills in a variety of disciplines.

The series so far includes:

How To Start Your Career In Showbiz

Saturday 13 March, 10am

How To Ace Auditions

Saturday 27 March, 10am

An Introduction to Film Making (parts 1 & 2)

Saturday 3 April, 10am & Saturday 17 April, 10am

Writer and digital director Lisle Turner, who will be leading two of the masterclasses over the coming months said:

“Show business is about telling stories. It’s important for everyone that the voices telling those stories come from all regions of the UK and all walks of life. In these sessions I want to demystify the industry and the skills involved so that participants can decide freely if it’s right for them. We’ll do that by trying things out in a relaxed and good-humoured environment – no pressure, just creative fun.”

FORGE masterclasses are aimed at young people aged 16 – 25 who have a passion for the arts and are looking to start a career in the industry.  Sessions will all be delivered online and are being offered with three pay-what-you-can options.
