In early 2019 our Education team launched a brand new mental health project #TalkAwayDontWalkAwayThe project aims to open up the discussion around mental health with young people. And, to support them with ways in which they can help themselves and one another.
The #TalkAwayDontWalkAway project is available for primary schools, secondary schools and youth groups. Our trained practitioners lead two hour workshops and provide all participants with a Mental Health Awareness booklet. The booklets include useful information, activities and contact details for support organisations.
We are currently taking bookings for these workshops (get 10% off if you book during Children’s Mental Health Week). If you know of a school or youth group who would benefit, please contact takepart@courtyard.org.uk or call 01432 346526.
In September 2019 the #TalkAwayDontWalkAway project was awarded a Health and Social Care Mental Health Award.
